Uneven Roof Ridge

Worn or deteriorated roof covering materials occasionally loosen from their fasteners and lift away from the roof which creates an uneven appearance.

Having an uneven ridge line would by no means cause any leaks any leaks could be caused by how well the ridges were mucked on or the felt beneath the tiles having any holes tears in. At other times the gutters may need to stay where they are so gravity can do its work.

Sometimes an uneven roof is simply a sign of minor errors or aberrations in construction. The secret to drawing an uneven ridge line or multiple levels on the same roof is to make sure the eave height and roof pitch are correct in the property screen. This style also improves the look of the roof providing a more unique and interesting design than the very common simple hip roof. A full or partial gable can be found at the end of the ridge in the roof allowing for a greater amount of internal roof space.
